Danske Bank Website Accessibility Statement

This accessibility statement applies to Danske Bank’s website (Danskebank.fi) and was last updated on January 10, 2025. The service is governed by the Act on the provision of Digital services, which requires that online services of public sector and financial sector operators must be accessible.
The accessibility of the website has been assessed by an external expert organization.

Accessibility Status of the Site

The website does not yet fully meet all accessibility standards and only partially meets the required accessibility guidelines. Some content and functionalities on the site are not easily readable by screen readers or usable without a mouse. Below is a detailed list of the most significant issues we have identified. If you find any other accessibility problems on our site, please provide feedback at accessibility@danskebank.dk. We are continually working to enhance the accessibility of our website.

Non-Accessible Content:

  • 1.1.1 Non-text Content (A): Some images do not have text alternatives. Therefore, screen reading software cannot describe these images. Text alternatives might also be missing from tables and other non-text content.
  • 1.2.1 Audio-only or Video-only (Prerecorded) (A): Some videos and audio recordings may not have necessary alternatives like transcripts, captions, or visual descriptions.
  • 1.2.2 Captions (Prerecorded) (A): Some videos do not have captions, which makes it impossible for users to read what is being said.
  • 1.2.3 Audio Description or Media Alternative (Prerecorded) (A) Some pre-recorded video content does not provide audio descriptions or a media alternative (such as a text transcript).
  • 1.2.5 Audio Description (Prerecorded) (AA): Some videos do not have audio descriptions, which means users who rely on them might miss important details.
  • 1.3.1 Info and Relationships (A): Assistive technologies like screen readers may miss some crucial information such as headings, images, texts, lists, or tables because the technical names of the fields are not clearly defined.
  • 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum) (AA): In some instances, the contrast is insufficient, making it difficult for people with visual impairments to read the content.
  • 1.4.4 Resize Text (AA) Some screens are scalable, when a user zooms to 200%, some functionality or text might be lost. Settings on users device will not have expected results.
  • 2.4.4 Link Purpose (In Context) (A): Some links may have vague descriptions or lack a text alternative used by screen readers, which can make it hard for users to understand where the link leads.
  • 2.4.6 Headings and Labels (AA): Not all fields and headings are descriptive enough, which makes it harder to understand.
  • 2.5.3 Label in Name (A): The technical name of a field or button sometimes does not match the actual field purpose. Screen readers might confuse the users.
  • 2.5.8 Target Size (Minimum) (AA): Targets for pointer inputs are not spaced sufficiently to ensure ease of use.
  • 3.1.1 Language of Page (A): Screens/Documents might lack a correct language setting. Assistive technologies, like screen readers, might not be able to automatically detect the language of the screen/document and read aloud can be a less satisfying result.
  • 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value (A): Some fields might not have the correct settings, which can result in a loss of functionality for assistive technologies.
