This service is not yet fully compliant with accessibility requirements. The following gaps have been identified:
- 1.1.1 Non-text Content (A): Some images do not have text alternatives. Therefore, screen reading software cannot describe these images. Text alternatives might also be missing from tables and other non-text content.
- Some older archived videos do currently not meet the accessibility requirements, such as captions and transcripts. Within the allowed timeframe, these videos will either be updated or replaced with compliant versions.
- 1.3.1 Info and Relationships (A): Assistive technologies like screen readers may miss some crucial information such as headings, images, texts, lists, or tables because the technical names of the fields are not clearly defined.
- 1.3.2 Meaningful Sequence (A): Screen readers might jump incorrectly through some screens/documents as well for keyboard navigation.
- 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum) (AA): In some instances, the contrast is insufficient, making it difficult for people with visual impairments to read the content.
- 2.4.4 Link Purpose (In Context) (A): Some links may have vague descriptions or lack a text alternative used by screen readers, which can make it hard for users to understand where the link leads.
- 3.3.2 Labels or Instructions (A): Some input fields can miss a supporting explanation (like date format).
- 4.1.1 Parsing (A):The technical structure behind the screens can fail when using assistive technologies, e.g. read aloud can lack info on the count of items in a list, or table column and row headers.
- 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value (A): Some fields might not have the correct settings, which can result in a loss of functionality for assistive technologies.
Documents
Users may find that PDFs linked to this service are partly compliant. We are working to resolve identified gaps, which may cause screen reader errors, such as incorrect reading order, undefined link purposes, low contrast, and missing alternative text.
